Apple Annie's

Last Saturday the big kids were with us and we decided for a 'family day' we would go to Apple Annie's to pick some pumpkins. I had low expectations for this trip for a couple reasons. 1. The big kids weren't feeling super 2. We would be arriving around nap time. 3. It was the day before Halloween so I kinda figured it would be crowded. 4. I have learned that when I think the day will be perfect, it blows, so I have stopped that.

We left late, which didn't thrill me, shocking, but it turned out okay because Brody slept in the car for a bit, so his crankiness would be minimal. I was all ready to have an "I told you so" attitude with Eric when we got there, but I was happily surprised. We pulled into the parking lot and parked at the front! No joke! I couldn't believe it, not only did we park close, but the parking lot was virtually empty, to which I asked Eric if he thought it was open....

It was!! It was just NOT BUSY AT ALL! I was so happy!!!! We had some lunch (no lines) and went on a hay ride to pick our pumpkins (no line).  It was fabulous!!!!

Kaylie's lunch consisted of Kettle Corn.... and shared with the little ones:)

He looks concerned, but really he is saying "Weeeeee"

I love this one...he looks like such a little man. Forget the fact that I was telling him to come back the whole time....

Now he is really testing me.

  2. I wish we had something like this out our way. We used to go to this farm that trucked everyone out via a hayride to the pumpkin patches (and later Christmas trees) but stopped doing it because of liability issues...
