Merry SITSmas!

Sound silly? If you want to know more about SITSmas go here.

We are supposed to share a family photo and talk about our wishes for 2010. I have too many to list. I have been thinking which ones to highlight and I think I came up with a pretty good list:
My top 10 wishes for 2010
I wish...
  • for good health for my family and friends.
  • to remember to "stop and smell the roses" (I am singing, It Won't Be Like This For Long by Darius Rucker-formerly Hootie- in my head and getting misty)
  • to go on vacation to Disneyland and Sea World with my family. Can you IMAGINE Delaney?
  • to go on a honeymoon with Eric- it will be 4 years, but that's ok.
  • that my sister has an AWESOME wedding and that Delaney and Brody behave walking down the aisle (again, can you IMAGINE Delaney?)
  • to FINALLY get a cute apron and wear it all the time.
  • for my blog to grow and become something people are excited to read.
  • to make LOTS of fancy cakes for friends and family (I am thinking baby shower maybe? Sarah? I will make one and then buy one for back up!)
  • to finish off those 10 pounds that are hanging around my lumpy areas.
  • that Eric and I will get baptized.
Of course I have MANY more, but there are the highlights. Our Christmas card this year was supposed to be super cute... I had us all in white shirts, jeans and red socks. We were going to sit in front of the fireplace and look all Brady Bunch. Once again, my Griswold expectations failed and Brody wouldn't stop crying, Delaney wouldn't stop screaming, you couldn't see our socks cuz then our faces would be too far away so we ended with this:

This was the best one of the bunch!
Here are some of the other attempts:

Please notice Delaney's steaming red face and Brody falling down....

And then he is done.... BUT you can see our red socks... cute right? (or dorky?)

And finally... the last straw... notice the absence of Delaney.
At least the big kids were holding their poses!

So, here is one of many posts I am sure that says
Merry Christmas from the Mikkelsons!!!

  6. Your card experience is too funny! We gave up on the "sit and Pose" because of all that and now we just try to pick out a good picture taken during the year of just the kids. (We may try to do it your way now that the kids are a bit older...)

    btw: Nice list!

  13. Well you can put a check mark on an item for sure from your wish list. There are so many who enjoy reading your blog, especially me! I love all the photos. Just know how much easier it is with a digital camera. When I started our family photos 11 years ago I would blow through rolls of film! You guys look great and I miss you so much! Enjoy all these moments because one day we will all end up just like "Aunt Bethany" and won't remember all the hectic stuff, just the good times! Merry Christmas!
