Since Eric didn't go to church, my mom and sister met me in the parking lot to take one of the kids to their class. Danielle took Delaney and I took Brody. Brody seriously can't wait until the open the door to let him in. It makes my heart swell. And Delaney... well she just walks in and all the teachers say "Hi Delaney!" and I love that! Church was great, as it always is and afterwards we went to get the kids and attempt some pictures.
This was right after she got her fingers stuck in the bench
After we left church, we over to Eric's parent's house to hang out for a bit. Delaney was in her Easter dress, hitting balls with Papa...cracks me up.
When we got home, I put them down for their nap and when the woke up, we were off to my parent's house. I knew it was going to be a blast because the Easter bunny had visited their house as well and he hid eggs in their backyard. Mimi and Granddaddy were there as well as my sister and Joe.... it was so fun!!
And she's off...
Brody needed a little help at first, but picked it up very quickly!
There were lots of treasures to find, not just eggs. This is an egg full of hopping bunnies:) Delaney was helping him
Brody found a huge thing of bubbles
Running to show me, each and every egg
"Where are they now?"
Delaney recruited Aunt D for some insider help
Loving life
My grandparents brought the kids Easter baskets and boy were they excited! Delaney got a princess basket and Brody got a cars one! They were a huge hit!
Peepaw (my Granddaddy) talking with Delaney about the princess attire!
Mimi and Brody:0)
Despite missing Eric in the morning, we had a great day.
Don't feel bad. I have loads of Easter pictures, and still fully intend to write about Easter. Whatever, I really do believe in better late than never.
ReplyDeleteThey look SO adorable in their Easter clothes, by the way. Oh, and what lucky kids...bubbles? My kids die for bubbles.
